ISSAQUAH, WA – Dr. Kim Schrier for Congress has released a new TV ad, “Extreme,” in response to the Supreme Court’s disastrous Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Dr. Schrier is the only pro-choice woman doctor in Congress and the only candidate in this race who will protect a woman’s right to choose.
Her opponent, Matt Larkin, is extreme and out of touch with the people of the 8th district on this issue. Larkin is unapologetically anti-choice, even supporting banning abortion in cases of rape and incest. With Republicans in the other Washington considering a nationwide ban that would affect women right here in Washington state, the stakes are too high to risk electing another anti-choice Republican who will vote with their party to take away a woman’s right to choose.
“Some thought it would never happen: the Supreme Court taking away a woman’s right to choose, a right to privacy that existed for almost fifty years. It’s extreme and dangerous,” said Rep. Schrier. “Now some D.C. politicians want to ban all abortions with no exception for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. As a doctor and mother, I am outraged. As your Congresswoman, I won’t stand for it.”
