With a week left in the quarter, today’s announcement promises strong Q1 fundraising results for the Democratic frontrunner.
Issaquah, WA, March 26, 2018—Dr. Kim Schrier announced today that her campaign has raised over $1 million since launching in August. This fundraising milestone follows recent endorsements from the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), Washington and Northern Idaho District Council and a coalition of Indivisible groups across the 8th district, and adds additional fuel to Schrier’s rapidly-growing campaign.
Dr. Schrier, who far outpaced the other Democratic candidates in both third- and fourth-quarter fundraising, ended the year having raised more than the next two Democratic candidates combined. Today’s announcement builds on that fundraising advantage and promises strong Q1 results.
“Today’s milestone reflects much more than dollars raised – it is a demonstration of the widespread support and growing momentum behind my candidacy. Thousands of people are rallying behind this campaign and giving what they can. Reaching $1 million is a sign that people are ready for a representative who truly understands and will fight for our community,” said Dr. Kim Schrier, who has served families in Issaquah for over 16 years as a pediatrician. “Thank you to everyone who has given financial support, offered their time to volunteer, and opened their homes to me over these past seven months. Today’s announcement shows that we are on track to flip the 8th district blue in November.”
